We arose at the oasis early. Pop had work that needed to be done on the property. Pop, Jack and Brian mowed, trimmed and worked away. Then came the fun part. Pop had stocked up before our arrival on ammo. He pulled out his favorite weapons. We shot a Walther PPK, an SKS, a .22 and a 30/6. Not sure how to properly write those. Jack killed a styrofoam cooler. To shreds. He was like a kid in a candy store. But wait, that wasn’t even his favorite part of the day. He got his new truck. And he got to drive it to our next destination. He was smiling the whole way.
