Have I mentioned that my dear friend Dave had our Kayak DELIVERED to us at our campsite?? Jack and I wake up early for an amazingly quiet and beautiful kayak ride around Lake San Cristobal. We cook breakfast, take turns in the kayak and get ready for our afternoon adventure. We just happened to look towards the lake and see our kayak going for a ride all by itself! Superhero Kate to the rescue! She runs toward the lake, whips her shirt off and starts swimming in freezing lake water! She ended up having to get out and hike a ways down the rocky coast, and slides down a rock hill to save to kayak and row it back to camp! Wow, was I impressed!
