We spent another night in Bandol, on the harbor drinking wine and watching people. Our wonderful host Frederic showed up the next morning and we hastily packed and drove further down the coast to Ste. Maxime. A cute, bustling town, but its appeal is a boat ride to St. Tropez. Why not?? Honestly, St. Tropez had little appeal to me. It’s expensive, snooty, and basically a Rodeo Drive with Yachts. A milkshake is €15. A smoothie is €14. Crazy! We walked around a bit and went back to our little hamlet of Ste. Maxime and our cute flat.
