Invisible airwaves crackle with life…

We packed up early and hit the road again. Destination: Mesa Verde National Park. I haven’t been here in years.

We made a pit stop at Chimney Rock national monument. Had some fun. My kids are hilarious!!

The drive to Mesa Verde is truly amazing. The views are spectacular on the way to the cliff dwellings. And this tunnel gave me vertigo!

The effects of the last fire in this area were devastating.

We decided to camp in the national park here. Magical spot. Again.

Funny story of the day: we thought we would ride our bikes to the store (2 miles) to pick up firewood. We thought we could put one bundle in my basket, and Jack would strap one bundle to his back. Ha! Worst idea ever! Kate and I had to wait with the wood while Jack brought the RV to pick us up.

We made it back with the wood, and our tail between our legs. But made an amazing meals of steaks and potatoes on the fire.

I like to be occasionally self sufficient without any hookups as we are tonight. It’s peaceful.

Another day with magic around many corners. I am so blessed.
