A beautiful morning in Mesa Verde National Park. But we have plans. It’s an easy pack up because we camped au natural.

Our mission today: going to Utah, Arizona and New Mexico. All at once. Yes, I’m talking about the Four Corners Monument. Yes, we have to drive far into the middle of nowhere to get there. But that picture in all four states at once is priceless. See for yourself. 

We then drove to Durango and through downtown. We didn’t stop because a lake was calling. 

Vallecito Lake to be exact. It is stunning! We found a lovely campground, and pulled in for the night. This campground has the option of renting Directv for $2.00 and I asked the kids if they wanted to watch some olympics. The answer? “No”!!! Yay! They played frisbee while dinner cooked. An early end to another perfect day.
