We made it to our beautiful Hotel Palomar dropped our bags and started wandering. We stumbled upon a museum on a random seemingly residential street. It’s called America’s First Museum of Modern Art. And a free day! Why wouldn’t we? It wasn’t all modern to be sure. We saw the giant Renoir of the Boating Party. Beautiful. I’ve seen this many times in print, but never thought I would see it in real life. We saw a gorgeous Van Gogh as well.

We hit the pool for a few minutes, hit the showers and walked to dinner.

Pack up and Go made our dinner reservations and gave us a gift card. Dinner was amazing at Founding Farmers.

What a day!!!! I truly couldn’t be happier about our destination. The kids feel the same way. We can’t wait to start exploring deeper into our nations capital.
